Welcome to the website for the Alamo Chapter of the Association of the US Army (AUSA). Our local chapter has more than 1000 members and together, we provide key support and mobilizing initiatives that link the local community together with our Soldiers and their families.
As our Army evolves, so too must our value proposition. Our way ahead for the Alamo Chapter is to evolve with our Army and bridge how we serve the needs of Soldiers and Army Families. To be the advocate for the American Solider, we must be where they are and talk in their terms.
We will continue to adjust to meet the changes of the service members and Families we serve. We build upon the great foundation set by our enduring members and as such, we must be there for the Army Family. Our family includes active duty, reservist, National Guard, surviving spouses, retirees, civilians, business leaders, veterans, wounded warriors, ROTC, and anyone else who supports our Soldiers.
We proudly contribute to the local community by:
- Contributing to events that celebrate Soldiers and Army Families
- Providing scholarships to ROTC students
- Partnering with other non-profit activities focused on supporting the Army Family
- Sponsoring events for surviving spouses and wounded warriors
- Supporting Army chains of command in recognizing their extraordinary Soldiers
- Supporting Army unit deployment and reunion ceremonies
- Supporting mentorship programs for Army Families
At the national level, AUSA represents every American Soldier as the voice for all components of America's Army. AUSA fosters public support of the Army's role in national security and provides professional education and information programs.
When you join AUSA, your membership amplifies AUSA's ability to serve as the voice for the Army through congressional testimony, Hill visits, and grassroots advocacy. AUSA continually seeks ways to improve the quality of life for those that have served our Nation so faithfully. "Voice of the Army - Support for the Soldier" is our credo.
