SGT John Botts

The 11th Annual "For The Soldier" Golf Tournament is over now but we must tell you that we had another successful one. The picture depicts what this tournament is all about. Here is SGT John Botts, one of the many wounded Soldiers who participated together with other Soldiers, retirees and our civilian partners. He really bombed that ball from the tee as we witnessed his tee shot on Hole #16, Par 4. To all Soldiers, our thanks for "still serving".

One hundred and thirty three players took the field in a beautiful and hot Texas weather over the Fort Sam Houston Golf Club.  The course "Salado" yielded some great scoring and the golfers enjoyed the conditions.

Thank you to all the participants and especially those Corporate members who every year sponsored Soldiers for this tournament. Our tournament profits directly supports our Chapter in recognizing and supporting the many outstanding Soldiers, their Families and Army units--both active and reserve components in and around San Antonio.

Thank you for your support and involvement with the Soldiers of Fort Sam Houston and our Chapter. Our special thanks to the staff at the FSH Golf Club for their support and outstanding service to the tournament.
